Sumter County Middle School Public Relations

The Sumter County Middle School Band (SCMS) recently hosted its 2nd Annual Christmas Concert. Under the direction of Band Director Mr. Landon Frazier and Choral Director Mrs. Queenester Covington, the band and chorus performed for parents and friends at the Americus-Sumter High School gymnasium. To start the event, the 7th grade band members performed separately from the 8th graders showcasing all they have learned this school year. Then the 8th grade band members performed several pieces with one accompanied by the chorus. For the finally, the SCMS Chorus performed their own selections with special guest solos by Mr. Kareem Boothe, SCMS Math teacher, and Mrs. Marilyn Williams, SCMS ELA teacher.
