The American Legion gives out Christmas dinner baskets to 10 veterans

American Legion John D. Mathis, Post 2, Inc. gave out Christmas dinner baskets to Veterans in need the morning of December 21. Volunteers met at the Georgia Veterans Service Office parking lot to distribute baskets. Baskets included turkeys, stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, rolls and pumpkin pie. Ten veterans received baskets along with certificates of appreciation for their service. Melissa Ingle, with Georgia Veterans services, identified the 10 veterans with needs who received the baskets. She is also the service officer for Post 2.
