Rev. Selena Clark is a native New Yorker, born in Harlem, NYC.  Educated in the New York City public school system. Graduating from high school and pursuing further education she ventured south to Georgia.

She enrolled in an HBCU which was formally known as Clark College. It is now known as Clark Atlanta University. While at Clark she majored in elementary education and minoring in early childhood education.

Having completed college, graduating with a BA in education, she returned back to New York, there she continued her education by taking classes at NYU and Queens College.

She’s worked in real estate for a while but gave it up to pursue her passion which is teaching and educating people especially children.

Rev. Clark has taught in the New York City school system for 10 years. Joining Tabernacle of Prayer for All People under the leadership of Apostle Johnnie Washington, thus began her spiritual formation and understanding of God as Lord and Saviour. During this time, she was able to adopt a family of six children and an additional infant.  She has been a community activist fighting for the rights of children, President of PTA’s and President of the Queens High School Parents Association.

After the death of the leadership at Tabernacle of Prayer, she began to search for a church home. In doing so she found Mt. Moriah A.M.E. Church under the leadership of Pastor Robert R. Lowe, thus began her journey in Methodism. In this pursuit she has led people to the Lord, participated in street ministries, taught middle school Sunday School, facilitated Women’s ministry, New Class Membership and other classes, while striving to please God.

Being encouraged by the mothers in the church to continue religious education, she ventured back to Georgia. There enrolling at Turner in the ITC (Interdenominational Theological Center). Graduating in 2005, Rev. Clark has been Christian Education Director for the West District under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Roosevelt Morris and the late Charles W. Bennett. She’s pastored three churches in the West District, one in the North and East Districts. She’s been on the Macon conference, pastoring in the North and in the South. At present she is pastoring Historical Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church in the Southwest Gorgia Conference

Three of her children, Jesse, Shalaila and StarAja, along with grandchildren are here in Georgia.

If you’re wondering if she loves the Lord, her songs are “Amazing Grace and He Knows My Name”.
