The students at Sumter County Intermediate School are participating in the ‘Christmas Cards for Sailors’ activity. Students have created Christmas cards for U.S. Navy sailors on the USS John C. Stennis, which is currently deployed and will be deployed through-out the holidays. The cards will be delivered to sailors to help brighten their holiday season. This particular ship was chosen because a teacher at Sumter County Intermediate School has a brother who is onboard the ship. The students at Sumter County Intermediate School are thankful for all who serve or have served our country. Shown are students from Holly Stuart’s classroom with their cards.
