• Oscar L. Battle, 17, of 73-A Barbara Battle Way, Americus is charged with obstruction of law enforcement officer and reckless conduct.
• Jarvis D. Cross, 30, of 410 Ashby St., Americus is charged with disorderly conduct.
• Darryl Dixon III, 22, of 318 Poplar St., Americus is charged with open container and hit and run.
• Kathleen E. Hanks, 29, of 111 Douglas Circle, Americus is charged with obstruction of law enforcement officer and DUI.
• Reginal T. Harris, 30, of 39-A Reddick Drive, Americus is charged with simple battery (Family Violence Act), obstruction of law enforcement officer and giving false identity information to law enforcement.
• Brianna M. Holt, 20, of 707-A Harris St., Americus is charged with financial transaction card theft, financial transaction card fraud and misdemeanor theft by taking.
• Quincy B. Johnson, 22, of 135-B Foster St., DeSoto us charged with possession of a firearm during commission of a crime, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
• Asha Jones, 27, of 1529 Hooks Mill Road, Leslie is charged with following too closely, no license on person and obstruction of law enforcement officer.
• Sonyona S. Josey, 25, of 1001 Ridge St., Americus is charged with disorderly conduct.
• A juvenile was charged with unruliness on Horton Drive.
• Two juveniles were charged with unruliness and criminal trespass on West Furlow Street.
• A juvenile was charged with curfew violation and unruliness on Brinson Drive.
• Four juveniles were charged with obstruction, unruliness and reckless conduct on East Lamar Street.
• Quantavious Q. Mathis, 17, of 610 Oak Ave., Americus is charged with criminal trespass.
• Gloria A. Newsome, 48, of 208 Maple St., Americus is charged with theft by shoplifting (third offense).
• Octavius Polk, 26, of Plains is charged with probation violation.
• Joseph Q. Sales of 702 Davenport St., Americus is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
• Stephen K. Studdard, 24, of 1922 Rose Ave., Americus is charged with speed less than minimum, possession of firearm or knife during commission or attempt to commit certain felonies, possession of a controlled substance, expired or no registration of title, no proof of insurance and probation violation, and was jailed.
• Tervone D. Thomas, 18, of 101-B Eastview Circle, Americus is charged with possession of a firearm during commission of a crime, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
• Jerus K. White, 23, of 105 Eastview Circle, Americus is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
• David J. Williams, 19, of 807 Fulton St., Americus is charged with possession of a firearm during commission of a crime, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
• George C. Woods of 433 Mayo St., Americus is charged with failure to stop at stop sign.

Arrest
• Marcus B. Miller, 33, of 128 Santa Rosa Drive, Americus is charged with probation violation, and was jailed.

Georgia State Patrol Post 10, Americus

Arrest
• William B. Calhoun, 41, of Abbeville is charged with driving while license is suspended or revoked, and was released on bond.

Plains Police Department

Arrest
• William L. Andrews, 48, of 921 U.S. Highway 19, Americus is charged with criminal trespass, and was released on summons to appear in court.

Sumter County Fire & Rescue

• Firefighters responded to 33 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to an odor of smoke on Sylvan Road.
• Firefighters responded to a spill in the roadway on Ga. Highway 49 South.
• Firefighters responded to what turned out to be a false alarm on Saliba Road.
• Firefighters responded to Fifth Street to assist a homeowner in getting her puppy unstuck from a chair.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Sunset Park Drive. There  was no fire.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Ga. Highway 308. There was no fire.
• Firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Lee Street Road. No fire was found.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at Myrtle Springs and Tallent Store roads.
• Firefighters responded to Jenkins Road to a report of a tree over the roadway.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Sullivan Drive which was triggered by someone leaving food in the microwave.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at Cook Drive and Ga. Highway 49.
