AMERICUS — Ms. Agnes Moore Goolsby, 83, passed away on Tuesday morning, Jan. 6, 2015, at her home in Americus.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with interment to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The Rev. William Hall will officiate.

The family will receive friends between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. n Friday evening, Jan. 9, at Hancock Funeral Home.

Born July 19, 1931, in Pike County, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Arthur Borden Moore and Virgil Estelle Bethune Moore.  Mrs. Goolsby was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a member of the Woodmen of the World.

Ms. Goolsby was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Kay Mote and by a sister, Annie Maude Parker.

Survivors include one son, Darrell E. Courson of Americus; four sisters: Evelyn Holloway, Louise Wiggins, Candy Dinsmore (Doug), all of Americus, and Katie L. Edmonson of Dothan, Ala.; two granddaughters: Leslie Kay Satterfield and Brittany Nicole Goolsby Bushey, both of New York; two great-granddaughters: Cierra and Jenny; and several nieces and nephews.
