Andersonville’s Running Thru History 5K to be held April 18

ANDERSONVILLE – The Friends of Andersonville have announced a “Running Thru History” 5K run and walk to be held on April 18.

The race will be held in the Andersonville National Historic Site. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each of seven age groups.

The 5K race is set to begin at 8:00 AM and the one-mile walk will begin at 9:00 AM. Registration fees for the 5K race are $20.00 if registered by March 31 and $25.00 after that date. Registration for the one-mile walk is $10.00.

Proceeds from the race will go to benefit the Macon County Recreation Department, various non-profit organizations, and the Friends of Andersonville.
