Volunteers needed at Schley County Courthouse
The night that the Schley County Board of Commissioners held its meeting on the renovation of the courthouse, Commissioner Douglas Jamieson explained all the work that going on and showed slides. He asked for volunteers to help with the renovation and gave the example of scraping paint off prior to repainting.
If anyone is interested in volunteering their time call Jamieson at 942-9988.
Schley County FFA goes to State
On March 23-25, the Schley County Future Farmers of America students attended the Georgia FFA State Convention in Macon.
The FFA Chapter received an award for 100 percent membership. Those that attended were Marilyn Gutierrez, Shelbi Gladden, Jacob Brunson, Courtney Nutt, Courtney Bryan, Caitlyn Strickland, Alexis Flynt, Brandilyn Cromer, Michael Johnson, Michael Wise, Malik Edwards, Andy Harbuck, Chris Cox, Brandon Keefer and Edger Devane.

Schley County High holds Awards/ Honors Night
On May 7, Schley County High School held Awards and Honors Night for students in grades nine-12. Everyone was welcomed by Tee Reddish and Braxton Crews opened with prayer. Patti Wurtz was mistress of ceremonies.
