Raymond Martin works on the roof of the historic Saint John’s Lutheran Church in Goshen, Ind. Thursday. The roof of the church was badly damaged in a storm last summer and through donations a group of area residents who preserve the land raised, with help from a grant from Indiana Landmarks. Martin, who is Old Order Amish, along with his son Lynn, have worked to get the roof covered ahead of forecasted rain Friday. The St. John’s Lutheran Church Association has purchased cedar shingles which will be installed on the church soon.
