AMERICUS – South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) Lady Jets’ rising sophomore Molly Brown of Douglasville, GA has been selected as one of the top 40 NJCAA Student-Athletes this year and has been invited to participate in the NJCAA Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Weekend July 23-26 in Niceville, FL., announced SGTC Director and Lady Jets head coach James Frey. Rising sophomore Cierra Bond of Inkster, MI was selected as an alternate for the event.

Both of these young ladies played key roles as freshmen in helping the Lady Jets earn their second straight trip to the NJCAA National Tournament in 2015 and earn a spot as one of the top 16 women’s basketball teams in the national junior college athletic association.

“This is an excellent opportunity for rising sophomores to showcase their talent and skills to Division I coaches,” said Frey.  “Molly Brown has certainly earned this distinction and I feel honored to have a player invited to participate.”
