CORDELE — Funeral services for Jimmie Frances Doster, 94, of Cordele, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015,  in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Americus. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Doster passed away Thursday at her residence. She was born in Pike County and was the daughter of the late James Oliver and Lorene Biles Bottoms. Prior to moving to Cordele to be near her children she was a longtime resident at Upper River Road in Sumter County and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. As a homemaker, she was a devoted wife to her late husband of 65 years, Clark Doster, and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed feeding and watching her birds and gardening.
Mrs. Doster is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Judith and Jimmy Rainey and Sylvia and David Odell, all of Cordele; a sister, Callie Bottoms Pryor of Williamson; six grandchildren and their spouses, Richard and Wanice Odell of Carrolton, Randy and Sheila Odell of Warner Robins, Cindy and Teddy Clifton of Ashburn, Angela Rainey Black, Susan O. Hayes and Wesley and Tina Rainey, all of Cordele; 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, J.D. Bottoms.
