AMERICUS — Mrs. Rosa Lee Crumpton Manning, 94, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22, in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with the Rev. John Dent officiating. Burial was to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family received friends between the hours of 5 and 7 p.m. on Monday evening, Dec. 21 at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St.
Born Nov. 18, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Isaac Crumpton and Minnie Elizabeth Wilson Crumpton. Mrs. Manning was retired from Manhattan Shirt Factory and from Kinder Manufacturing Co., where she worked in the sewing room.
Survivors include a daughter, Irene Walker (Deke) of Americus; grandchildren: Sherrin Mira (Jeff) of Eufaula, Ala., Selinn Legg (Mike) of Americus, Kai Walker of Cape Canaveral, Fla., Tabatha Peshel of Dallas, Ga., Tal Walker (Amanda) of Doerun, Ga., and Micah Walker of Gainesville, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Manning; by a daughter, Christine Williams; by a grandson, Ray Williams; and by her eight siblings.
