Increasing flood threat looms for this area

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch across North and Central Georgia, which includes Sumter, Schley, Marion, Webster and Macon counties in the Times-Recorder coverage area.

An unseasonably warm and moist patterns will result in multiple rounds of heavy rainfall across much of North and Central Georgia, beginning Wednesday night and continuing through Friday. Rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches can be expected.
