BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — The Americus, Ga., Tractor Supply Company store holds its grand opening on Saturday, Feb. 6, with specially priced merchandise Feb. 4-7. The store officially opened for business Jan. 30.
The Americus location is Tractor Supply’s 57th store in Georgia and employs 12 team members. The facility has 19,097 square feet, including sales floor and support service space.
Tractor Supply is the largest rural lifestyle retail store chain in the United States and has been operating in Georgia since 2000.
“Americus is a great location for Tractor Supply Company because there are a lot of families with riding stables and hobby farms in the area,” said Store Manager Tiffany Platt. “Our knowledgeable, friendly team looks forward to providing our neighbors with Tractor Supply’s legendary customer service.”
Platt joined Tractor Supply in 2010 at the Eufaula, Ala., location. Prior to joining Tractor Supply, she worked at Bill’s Dollar Store for two years. The Florida native enjoys spending time with her horses.
As store manager, Platt oversees all store operations, including receiving, inventory control and merchandising, as well as customer and team member relations.
To celebrate the grand opening of the store, shoppers will receive 10 percent off their first purchase, up to $100, from Feb. 4-7, and can enter to win prizes including store gift cards, pet feed, clothing, power tools and a 22-ton log splitter. Free Tractor Supply caps will also be giving away while supplies last.
The grand opening event this Saturday will feature lawn mower demonstration by a representative from MTD and representatives from the local humane society from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Regular operating hours for the store, located at 201 Highway 19 South, are 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. on Sunday.
