Americus
Restoration Church of Americus
The 2016 Men’s Conference, “Man in the Mirror,” is Feb. 19-21. At 7 p.m. Feb. 19,  Bishop Scott Murphy of Thomasville is featured speaker. On Feb. 20, men’s workshops are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. At 7 p.m. Feb. 20, “Father & Son Tag Team” is held with
Pastor George F. Edge and Elder Caleb R. Edge. On Feb. 21 Pastor Games E. Gray of Atlanta brings the sermon.

Friendship Missionary Baptist Church
All participants of the Americus Sumter County Civil Rights Movement are invited to a Black History program at 6 p.m. Feb. 17 to honor those who sacrificed their lives for equal rights for everyone. For information call Ti’Erra Snead-Floyd  222-815-9138.

Shipp Chapel Baptist Church
Black history is observed at the 9 a.m. worship service Feb. 14 with guest speaker Teresa Mansfield. The public is invited.

New Jerusalem Baptist Church
The annual Youth Revival is at 7 p.m. Feb. 16-18 with Pastor Justin Johnson of Sylvester bringing the message. The revival culminates at 11 a.m. Feb. 21 with the church’s Elect Lady Stacey Kelly bringing the sermon. Everyone is welcome.

Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church
The 157th church anniversary is celebrated at 3 p.m. Feb. 14 with the theme, “Herein is Love! (1st John 4:10). Host church is Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, 132 Bumphead Road. The sermon is by Presiding Elder Dr. John Wesley Bass, Eastern District/Southwest Georgia Conference/6th Episcopal District and music and selections are by the Original Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church  “Dorothy Apple Young Adult Choir” and Lynn Tyson, musician, and a special selection by the Vivian Bryant Angel Choir (both choirs founded and established by former Pastor Rev. John Wesley Bass.) Everyone is invited to help pack a pew.

Touched & Tranformed Ministries
In helping with the water crisis in Flint, Mich., the ministry is donating water to that community but they need help in donating a case of water. To make a donation, bring it to  the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office or call Tanya Reese 229-591-2565. The ministry is a 5013(C) nonprofit organization.

New St. Paul Baptist Church
Black History is celebrated at 11 a.m. Sunday.
The 54th Ushers’ anniversary is celebrated at 4 p.m. Feb. 14 with Sister Hattie Ferguson of Old Corinth Baptist Church speaking on ushers. The church pastor, Michael walker, delivers the sermon.

Andersonville
St. Paul A.M.E. Church
Everyone is invited to the 30th choir anniversary at 3 p.m. March 13. Choirs are asked to render an A and B selection. Refreshments will be served.

Buena Vista
Mount Carmel Baptist Church
The Youth Choir observes its eighth anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 14 with guest appearance and performance by Hasan Green,  singer, songwriter and recording artist. Everyone is invited.

Smithville
Zion Hope Baptist Church
The pastor’s anniversary celebration services start at 7 p.m. Feb. 9-11 with the Rev.  Jerome Jones and Cool Springs Baptist Church choir bringing the program Tuesday. Wednesday features Bishop Melvin McCluster and Friendship Missionary Baptist Church choir; Thursday, the Rev. Hosie Waters and Lebanon Baptist Church choir. T-shirts may be worn Thursday. At 10 a.m. Feb. 14, Elder Larry Franklin Jr. is featured speaker at the Pastor’s 15th Anniversary Celebration Service.

New Hope A.M.E. Church
The annual Family, Friends and Guests Day is celebrated at 11 a.m. March 20 with the Rev. Willie C. Kleckly of Montezuma bringing the message. Dinner will be served and everyone is invited.
