AMERICUS — Mr. Frank Gaspar Macedonia, age 58, of Jacksonville, Florida, died peacefully early Saturday morning Feb. 27, 2016, in Americus. A native of South Carolina, Mr. Macedonia was born Jan.12, 1958, the son of the late Frank Joseph Macedonia and Elvira Baffa. A kind and thoughtful man, he was an attorney at law who loved poetry and literature. He was also a lifelong shortwave radio enthusiast. Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, March 3, 2016, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Francis Gillespie officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at 206 W. College St.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Blue Argo of Americus; a niece, Christine Argo; his god mother, Alice Marold; three uncles, Salvatore Macedonia, Joseph Macedonia and Carmine Macedonia; a brother-in-law, John Thomas Argo Jr. (Alice); family members, Malcolm Argo (Phyllis), Aimee Argo and Jim Argo. Also surviving are 19 first cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Flowers are appreciated; however, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Phoebe Sumter Hospice, P. O. Box 1434, Americus GA 31709 or to The Sumter Humane Society, 108 Industrial Blvd., Americus GA 31719.
