GSW Hurricanes baseball to hold open tryouts for 2016-17 team

AMERICUS – The Georgia Southwestern State University baseball team will be holding two sets of open tryouts for players who have graduated high school or will graduate in spring 2016 and have completed their high school season. The first round of tryouts are scheduled to be held on May 18, beginning at 2:00 p.m. The second round is scheduled to begin on May 24, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Participants may register the morning/afternoon of the tryout, beginning one hour prior to the scheduled start time. There will be no cost.
All tryout participants must provide proof of a passed physical examination within the last academic year or within six months. Those who have attended college or are currently enrolled must provide an unofficial transcript. Those who have attended a four-year institution must provide an unofficial transcript and a written release from the institution.
The tryouts will take place at GSW’s Hurricane Stadium in the Susan K. Smith Baseball and Tennis Complex.
Players are requested to bring their own gloves, shoes and bats.
