Southland Academy holds senior sports banquet

AMERICUS – Southland Academy recently held its annual Senior Sports Banquet, honoring all seniors that participated in band, cheerleading, and athletic teams.
The banquet was sponsored by the Southland Raider Club and was emceed by Athletic Director Clint Humphrey.
Each member of the senior class was presented a plaque that documented their high school career achievements.
According to a press release, the highlight of the evening was the presentation of this year’s scholar athlete awards, sponsored by Premier Orthopedics.
This year’s winners were Jordan Sanders and Taylor Weldon.
“Congratulations to Jordan and Taylor for their academic and athletic achievements,” the press release concluded.
