AMERICUS — Jack Floyd Partain, age 78, of 266 Tulip Drive, died Friday, July 15, 2016, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A native of Ellaville, he was born May 14, 1938, the son of the late William Floyd and Elna Greene Partain. Jack was a former materials manager for Redman Homes and a member of First United Methodist Church of Americus.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Jerry Roe, the Rev. Rodney Thrift and the Rev. Sims Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, in the Fellowship Hall at First United Methodist Church and at other times 228 Tulip Drive, Americus. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church, 200 S. Lee St., Americus GA 31709 or to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 409410, Atlanta GA 30384-9410.

Survivors include his wife of 56 ½ years, Diann Partain of Americus; a daughter, Vicki Partain of Americus; two grandchildren, Shawn (Whitney) Radford and Shana Tindel; and five great-grandchildren, Aden, Aasin and Alivia Martinez, Alanna Yawn and Alice Mccord.
