Ellaville Methodist Church to host revival
Ellaville United Methodist Church hosts its revival starting at 7 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Matt Avera preaching. At 6 p.m. Monday, the Methodist Men host Ladies Night with a supper after which the service features the Rev. James Aycock. Tuesday is Youth Night with the Rev. Jonathan Moore preaching at 7 p.m., and Wednesday, the Rev. Brett Maddock preaches at 7 p.m.
There will be special music every night. Everyone is invited.

Ellaville’s power department helps others in need
The City of Ellaville’s Electrical Power Department went to Moultrie to assist after damages from Hurricane Hermine. The replaced broken poles, straightened poles and worked on the power lines.
They left on Thursday, Sept. 1, returned home late Sunday night. The men that went were Adam Wall, Donald Coleman, and Benji Wisham. Ellaville City Manager Lynne McChargue said these men worked four days straight through, helping others. Thank you.

Ellaville Methodist Choir sings for Perfect Care
On Sept. 1, the Ellaville United Methodist Church Choir went to Perfect Care in Americus to sing for the residents.
Those that went were with the choir were Wayne and Nora Morrow, Olivia Mallichek, Sharon Wall, Darling Lewis, Judy Gattis, Jody, Donna, and Payton Dillard, Judy McClellon, Macy Lawhorn, and Choir Director Mary Nan Pilcher.
Judy McClellon played the piano and Wayne Morrow Sr. played his harmonica.

Ellaville-Schley Historical Society Auction is tonight
The Ellaville-Schley County Historical Society Auction is tonight at the Thomas Edwin Wall Post 191 American Legion.
Please let everyone know that we are having a new event tonight, an antique car display in front of the Legion starting at 4:30 p.m. There is no charge to place your car to show it off. Please have your car ready for display by 4 p.m. These cars will not be judged.
Supper is served starting at 5:30 p.m. and the Auction begins at 7 p.m.
Come early and eat and look at the items that will be auctioned off.
We are having a Quilt Raffle again with the quilt having been made by Lettie Royal. There will be a 50/50 Raffle. Buy a ticket from any member of the Historical Society or from the Ellaville Floral Shop, Gill’s Drugs or the Pizza Place.
All proceeds go to preserve Ellaville and Schley County’s history. The public is invited.

Joseph Eason fell, broke hip
On Sept 7, Joseph Eason was going into the dermatologist’s office when he fell and broke his hip. He was taken to Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus where he underwent surgery the following day.
He was in the hospital for a few days before being transferred to Magnolia Manor’s Rehabilitation Unit where he will have physical therapy.
Joseph is loved so much here and all around, specially Ellaville and Schley County. Please remember him in your prayers.

Andrew Chapel Methodist Church hosts guest speaker
Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church hosts a guest speaker at 10 a.m. Sunday — Evelyn Lemly, executive director of the Kairos Prison Ministry Inc.
She has a broad experience in corporate business and nonprofit ministry. She formerly worked for BASF and American Cyanamid in various sales, marketing, strategic planning, management and leadership positions.
She left the corporate world as she was called to serve full time in the ministry work that shares Jesus Christ to impact and change lives.
She will speak on the specifics of prison ministry and its importance s to our community. She has traveled the United States extensively and visited numerous countries.
Everyone is invited. The church is located at 5764 U.S. Highway 19, south of Ellaville.
