AMERICUS – The Times-Recorder was informed earlier today that a fraudulent text message had been sent to many local residents, claiming to be from Citizen’s Bank of Americus, and stating that there is an issue with these individual’s accounts

A representative from Citizen’s Bank of Americus advised the Times-Recorder that the message was not sent by the institution and that individuals who receive this message should not respond.
