CONCORD, N.C. — Joyce Thompkins Russell, 69, of Stanfield, N.C., passed away Oct. 5, 2016, at Carolinas Healthcare System – NorthEast in Concord, N.C. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 8, 2016, at Big Lick Baptist Church, 626 Big Lick Road, Oakboro, N.C. At other times, the family will be at the home.
