Who knew math could be so sweet? The students in Susan Stephens’ first grade class at Webster County Elementary sure did like the taste of math recently. They used Skittles to collect and organize data in a recent assignment. After sorting the Skittles by color, they had to tally the number of each color and organize the information into a bar graph. The students then compared their own graph with the graphs of their classmates. Of course, the favorite part came next — eating them!
