Law enforcement personnel from all surrounding areas are still searching for a man who shot two police officers at Country Club Apartments in Americus shortly after 10 a.m. Wednesday. Georgia State Patrol helicopters were circling the areas around southeast and south central Americus while tactical teams were gathering in the area surrounding the Georgia Southwestern State University campus, which was on lock down.

The alleged shooter posted in a video on Facebook that he is not going to jail.

Meanwhile, both officers, critically injured, were awaiting Life Flight to a Macon trauma center.
