AMERICUS — Ms. Peggy Sue Ohm, age 63, of 150 U.S. Highway 19 North, Americus died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Ga. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at Oak Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Wendy Peacock will officiate. A visitation will be held from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services.

Peggy Sue Ohm was born Sept. 28, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio. Ms. Ohm was of the Lutheran faith. She received an associate’s degree in accounting. She served as an accountant for the Department of Defense for many years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lonnie McDowell and her mother, Esther Brahn McDowell. Survivors include two daughters, Emily Kotsch (Bryan) of Americus, Ga., and Crystal Garn of Hopkinsville, Ky.; two sons, Eric Ohm of San Antonio, Texas, and Brian Ohm of Tennessee; one sister, Frieda Logsdon of Findlay, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Taylin McDowell, Brandon Ohm, Weston Ohm, Kyle Ohm, Matteo Ohm, Abigail Schneider, and Andrew Schneider. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
