The weekend of activities began with a “Get Acquainted” held at Lake Blackshear Regional Library where there was an evening of sharing personal stories, old memories, lots of fun games, dancing, good music, and a variety of delicious finger foods and beverages.
On Saturday, a ‘Celebrating Together” banquet was held at the St. Paul Gillespie Community Center in Cordele where tables were beautifully decorated in the school’s colors of black and gold with black and white tablecloths. A special moment was held in remembrance of the deceased classmates and teachers with the lighting of memorial candles.
The reunion culminated on Sunday with classmates attending worship services of their choice. Most of the classmates attended Inspirational Church by Faith, where classmate Larry Taylor is pastor.
