GRIFFIN — Mrs. Barbara Sue Murch, age 80, of Griffin, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at her residence.

Mrs. Murch was born on June 12, 1936, in Roopville, Ga. She was the daughter of the late William Velma and Doshie Viola Brazil. Mrs. Murch graduated Americus High School in 1954,  and following graduation moved to Washington, D.C., to work for the FBI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chauncey “Bob” Murch; son, Douglas Murch; brother, Estrell Brazil; sisters, Willard Montgomery and Sara Shaw.

 

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffery and Pam Murch and Mark and Karina Murch; grandchildren, Donna and Chuck Smith, Dustin and Danni Murch, Erika Murch, and Alana Murch. Other family also survive.

 

Private family services will be held in Griffin, Georgia, and burial will follow in Gunnison, Colorado.

 

In lieu of Flowers the family request donations be made to St, Jude’s Children’s Hospital in memory of Mrs. Murch.
