AMERICUS — Ms. Margaret Sturdivant, age 88, died peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at Mountville Cemetery located at 4563 Greenville Road, LaGrange GA 30241. The Rev. Floyd Sanders will officiate. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb.10, 2017, at Aldridge Funeral Services, Americus.

Ms. Margaret Sturdivant was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Pine Mountain, Ga., the daughter of the late Crawford Fuller Sturdivant and the late Susie Hogg Sturdivant. Ms. Sturdivant worked many years as a secretary for DFCS in Americus, Ga. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Americus.

Survivors include one niece Sara Sanders and her husband Floyd of Americus, Ga. Ms. Margaret was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
