• Firefighters responded to 15 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on East Lamar Street.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on North Jackson Street. There was not smoke or fire but a private contracting business was outside the structure throwing sheetrock debris on a trailer, which accidentally activated the alarm.
• Firefighters responded to West Norris Circle Peppermint Way to a report of a power line down.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Felder Street. The alarm has been activated by burned eggs on the stove.
• Firefighters responded to Oglethorpe and West Jefferson streets where they removed a tree that was blocking the roadway.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at West Forsyth Street and South Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. There were no hazards.
• Firefighters responded to a structure on Lonnie Lane. They extinguished the fire around the HVAC unit and checked for spreading.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at North Jackson and West Jefferson streets.
• Firefighters responded to Hickory Drive to a report of smoke inside the structure. Smoke was caused by pot left on the stove.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on West Forsyth Street. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at Mayo and Oglethorpe streets.
• Firefighters responded to a structure fire on South Lee Street. Fire was in an upstairs bedroom. It was determined the fire was started by children who were attempting to start a fire in order to warm their hands with paper and matches and it got out of hand.

• Mary E. DeLoach, 27, of Blakely, is charged with driving under the influence of multiple substances and possession of cocaine, and was released on bond.
• Dontavios D. Dice, 24, of 202 DeSoto Seed Farm Road, DeSoto is charged with driving while license is suspended or revoked, and was jailed.
• Jeri A. Dudley, 42, of Albany is charged with two counts of obstruction of law enforcement officer, misdemeanor escape, giving false name/address/birth date to law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, DUI, and driving while license is suspended or revoked, and was jailed.
• Earnest C. Durham, 23, of 456 Arch Helms Road, Lot N, Americus is charged with two counts of possession of marijuana, second-degree cruelty to children/criminal negligence/causes excessive physical/mental pain, obstruction of law enforcement officer, giving false name/address/or birth date to law enforcement officer, felony failure to appear in court for a finger printable charge, possession of tools for commission of a crime, and felony first-degree burglary, and was jailed.

• Jessica S. Glass, 35, of Leesburg is charged with misdemeanor failure to appear in court for a finger printable charge, and was jailed.
• Brian K. Griffin, 31, of 195 Gary Brewer Road, Cobb is charged with probation violation, and was released with time served.
• Dontavious J. Harper, 24, of 402 Rodgers St., Americus is charged with probation violation, and was jailed.
• Germika M. Harris, 19, of 738 Tom Gailey Plaza, Americus is charged with driving while license is suspended or revoked, and was released on bond.
• Sharon M. Hawkins, 31, of 420 S. Hampton St., Americus is charged with theft by receiving stolen property, possession of cocaine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and false report of a crime, and was released on bond.
• Jarquavious D. Henry, 18, of 863 Small Piece Road, Plains is charged with misdemeanor theft by taking, and was jailed.
• Calvin Henslee, 53, of 271 Ga. Highway 49 South, Americus was released after serving a mandatory 12 hours.
