Southland Academy first graders have been enjoying the curriculum enrichment, Lego Lab. The students are always excited about inquisitive explorations through STEM. Under the guidance of Allison Peck, Southland alumna and Georgia Tech graduate, the students have constructed working models of merry-go-rounds and catapults. They have learned about the relationship of pivots, loads, and effort. Most of all, they have had fun being creative team members. Shown are Luke Hall and Hays Hagerson enjoying Lego Lab in Peggy Roquemore’s first-grade class.
