Sumter County Primary School students collected items to donate to the students and families of Radium Springs Elementary School in Albany. Many students, who attend Radium Springs, have been displaced due to the recent storms. Sumter Primary students wanted to help and collected school supplies and household necessities for these families in need. Sumter Primary staff participated in fundraisers to help these families as well. The money raised was used to purchase Wal-Mart gift cards. A special thanks to Twany Edwards and Amethyst Hodges for delivering the items to the Albany school. Shown here are Twany Edwards, Pre-K teacher Emily DeVane, Amethyst Hodges, Assistant Principal Jason Reese, Pre-K teacher Allison Morrison, and Principal Lezley Anderson, Ed.D.
