AMERICUS — Annette Crumley Burgess, age 81, of 2001 S. Lee St., died Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. She was born June 28, 1935, in Americus to the late Floyd Burton Crumley Sr. and Annie Lee Hurst Crumley. She was a lifetime member of Central Baptist Church and a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Americus. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday, April 3, 2017, at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Jerry McCrary of Hiawassee; a son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Denise Burgess of Americus; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Ken Wilson of Americus; three grandchildren: Kristin McCrary, Heather Burgess Simpson, and Scott Burgess; and two great-grandchildren: Daniel Simpson and Nathan Simpson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lacy Burgess; a sister, Marie Crumley Toms; and a brother, Floyd Crumley Jr.
