AMERICUS — Mrs. Charlene Greene, age 55, of Americus, Ga., died Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Greater Vision Baptist Church. The Rev. Rhys Key will officiate. Interment will follow at the Oglethorpe City Cemetery in Oglethorpe, Ga. A visitation will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Aldridge Funeral Services and at other times at the residence of Sandra and Glenn Pickle, 159 Barnes Road, Americus, Ga. 31719.

Mrs. Charlene Greene was born Aug. 31, 1961, in Atlanta, Ga., daughter of the late Joe Frank Wisham and the late Adrant Virginia Felker Wisham. Mrs. Charlene was a member of Greater Vision Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one son, Thomas Frederick Smith III (Stephanie) of Tavares, Fla.; one sister, Sandra Pickle (Glen) of Americus, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Lavern Wisham; and five grandchildren, Thomas Frederick Smith IV, Jagger Ethan Thomas Smith, Emma Whitby, Jamaica Whitby and Chloe Whitby, all of Tavares, Fla.

Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by a brother Randol Wisham.
