From the 2016-17 school year: Sumter County Middle School students in Kimberly Bacon-Davis’s ELA class intensively prepared for their Milestone testing in the spring. They actively engaged in providing constructive feedback to their peers. They learned how to edit and revise their previously written argumentative essays. By working collaboratively, the students were not only learning to review and correct writings, but they were also learning to communicate effectively and efficiently.
