AMERICUS — The 2017 Session of the Americus Police Department Citizen Police Academy concluded on Nov. 17 with a graduation ceremony in the third-floor training room of the Americus Municipal Building. The ceremony concluded with a reception for the graduates.
The Citizen Police Academy is a six-week, 24-session course, exposing  citizens to all aspects of local law enforcement and includes representatives from the Americus Police Department and six other state and local criminal justice agencies.
