MONTEZUMA – The Schley County Lady Wildcats ran into a buzz saw Tuesday night as the Macon County Lady Bulldogs overwhelmed the Lady Wildcats 72-26. Macon County’s Erykah Skinner led all scorers with 23 points.

The Lady Wildcats had an up-hill battle from the start of the game. Schley County trailed 18-6 by the end of the first quarter. The Lady Wildcats struggled scoring and turned the ball over numerous times. This enabled Macon County to increase their lead to 39-12 by halftime.

Against a more experienced team, Schley County was unable to rally as the Lady Bulldogs increased their lead. Macon County outscored the Lady Wildcats 23-9 in the third quarter and led 60-21 at the quarter’s end.

There was less scoring in the final quarter, but Macon County outscored the Lady Wildcats 13-5 to finish the game.

For Schley County, they were led in scoring by Chelsey Carter with ten points.
