Laverne F. Futch: Feb. 22, 2018

LEESBURG — Laverne Fussell Futch, 88, of Lee County, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at Lee County Health Care.

 

Her funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Kimbrell-Stern with interment to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Butch Knight will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Kimbrell-Stern.

 

Mrs. Futch was born in Americus, Ga., and lived most of her life in Lee County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Albany and the Winsome Sunday School Class. She had worked with Coats and Clark in Albany, and following that, she was a paraprofessional with the Dougherty County School System. She was a loving wife, mother, and granny. She will be dearly missed. Mrs. Futch was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas Hugh Fussell and Lucille Orelia Roland.

She is survived by her husband:  Jack Futch, Lee County; children: Orelia Ann Morris (Clarence Kimball Morris), Owensboro, Ky., Benjamin Hugh Futch (Rhonda), Lee County; six grandchildren: Benjamin Aaron Morris, Wichita Falls, Texas, Jessica Helen Tichnor (Joey), Owensboro, Ky., James Kimball Morris (Heather), Owensboro, Ky., Clark Futch (Mallory), Eglin AFB, Florida, Chelsea Futch, Columbia, Tenn., Callie Hardy (Jessie), LaGrange,

Ga.; seven great-grandchildren; one brother: Charles Fussell, Albany.

The family will receive friends at the residence at 150 Hugh Rd., Leesburg, GA 31763.
