Georgia Association of Nursing Students executive board meets at GSW

AMERICUS — Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) hosted the executive board of the Georgia Association of Nursing Students (GANS) for its monthly meeting on Jan. 20. The board met in GSW’s Rosalynn Carter Health and Human Sciences complex. After their meeting, the group enjoyed lunch served by nursing faculty Rhonda Slocumb and Michele Ragsdale.
Students from nursing schools across Georgia are elected to the executive board. GSW has two students currently serving as board members: Chris Cary on the Nominations and Elections Committee and Rachel Mullis as Executive Assistant.
The Georgia Southwestern Association of Nursing Students (GSWANS) is the local student chapter. GSW nursing lecturers Jayme Roseth-Penn, Bonnie Gary and Slocumb serve as the GSWANS advisors.
