LESLIE — Ms. Annie Joyce Tucker Melvin, age 85, of Leslie passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018, graveside in the Leslie City cemetery. The Rev. Lance Fendley will officiate. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Aldridge Funeral Services.

Annie Joyce Tucker Melvin was born Oct. 24, 1932, in Sumter County, daughter of the late Gladstone Gaylord Tucker and the late Mattie Eunice Autry Tucker. She worked many years for Dr. Frank Wilson III as a secretary and later for Wal-mart. Joyce worked for Dr. Frank Wilson IV until his office closed. She was a member of Chapter 63 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Leslie Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Billie Jo Jacobs (E.P.) of DeSoto; two grandchildren, Lesley Barbosa of Leesburg and Wade King (Johnna) of Smithville. Three great-grandchildren, Kelsey Barbosa, Korbin Barbosa and Emma King, also survive.

Honorary pallbearers are Korbin Barbosa, Ronnie Mills, Eduardo Jimdenc, Patrick Tissue, Jeff Joiner and Gabe Barbosa.
