AMERICUS — Peter Anders Nordwall, age 18, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2018, in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services. Brian Kilheffer, the Rev. Michael Truitt and the Rev. Wendy Peacock will officiate. A visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Aldridge Funeral Services.

Peter Anders Nordwall was born Dec. 8, 1999, in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Donald James Nordwall and Suzanne Smith Nordwall. Peter was a senior at Americus Sumter High School. Peter was a member of the Technical Club and had recently won third place in state leadership conference computer problem solving. He was an Honor Graduate and third in academics for the class of 2018. Peter was a member of Americus Mennonite Fellowship where he served as media technician.

Survivors include his parents, Donald James Nordwall and Suzanne Smith Nordwall of Americus; grandparents the Rev. William Smith and Carolyn Smith of Americus; and a sister Johanna Nordwall of Americus. A number of aunts, uncles and cousins whom Peter loved, also survive.

Peter was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert Nordwall and Eva Nordwall.
