PLAINS — “The Silo” restaurant in Plains, owned by Kimberly and Jared Ward, honors prisoners of war and those missing in action with a Missing Man Table, presented by Rolling Thunder at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 20.

From the symbolism of The Missing Man Table, which serves as a perpetual reminder of those who remain unaccounted for and continue to pay for the freedoms we have today and with the Presidential Proclamation 4664, initiated and signed by our 39th President James Earl “Jimmy” Carter, on June 4, 1979, making the 3rd Friday in September, the first National POW/MIA Recognition Day, these are ways we are able to insure they are not forgotten.
