GEORGETOWN — Mr. Curtis Ray Williams Sr., age 77, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at his home in Georgetown, Ga.

Funeral services are planned for 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with Jeff Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.  The following gentlemen are asked to serve as pallbearers: Aaron Williams, Allen Williams, Dean Williams, Butch Williams, Jeff Campbell, Marlon Weitman, Kenny Crisp, Bill McAfee, George McAfee, Richard McAfee, and Gerald Cordle.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday at Hancock Funeral Home.

Born Nov. 17, 1940, he was a son of the late Harold Alexander “Alex” Williams and the late Fannie Mae McCord Williams. Mr. Williams was employed as a truck driver, having driven for Sanders and Redman. He was of the Christian faith, and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ray Williams; and by four brothers: L.C. Williams (Doris), Jace Williams (Jerri), Freddy Williams, and Larry Williams.

Survivors include two daughters: Sherrin Mira (Jeff) and Selinn Legg (Mike); two sisters: Dora Crisp and Linda Campbell (Jeff); two sisters-in-law, Opal Williams and Irene Walker (Deke); and many nieces and nephews.
