• Firefighters responded to 51 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on East Lamar Street.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on North Jackson Street where they ascertained the alarm was activated by people smoking in the building.
• Firefighters responded to a report or wires down on Daniel Street. They found a large tree branch had fallen and knocked the power line down. The removed the tree limb from the roadway.
• Firefighters responded to a report of wires down on Elm Avenue. They found a telephone line knocked down by a tree. They coiled the line and removed it from the street.
• Firefighters responded to a report of wires down on Rose Avenue. They found a telephone line downed by a tree limb. They removed the line from the roadway.
• Firefighters responded to Belinda Circle to a report of a strange noise coming from a stove. Investigation showed it was a malfunctioning fan above the stove.
• Firefighters responded to Lakeview Circle to assist the blind occupant with turning on the A/C.
• Firefighters responded to Judy Lane and Pecan Drive to a report of a tree down. They found a large tree across the roadway which they removed.
• Firefighters responded to Valley Drive to a report of a line down. They removed the cable line from the street.
• Firefighters responded to Upper River Road where they extinguished a dumpster fire.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm at Save-a-Lot, 204 Manhattan St. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to a motor vehicle versus pedestrian accident on Crawford Street.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on Forsyth Street.
• Firefighters responded to a smoke alarm on West Dodson Street. It was an old detector which they removed. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to Elliott Street to a report of a tree on a power line. They found a tree had fallen across a power line in the backyard. Georgia Power was notified.
• Firefighters responded to Cherokee Street to a report of a tree in the roadway. They found a large tree limb had fallen across the road and hung up on the power lines. Georgia Power was notified.
• Firefighters responded to Ashby Street to a tree down. They removed a large tree limb which was covering the roadway.
• Firefighters responded to Ga. Highway 49 South to a report of a structure fire. They found a cooking fire which had already been extinguished.
• Firefighters responded to an arcing water heater on North Lee Street. They found the water heater was leaking and had soot around electrical components. They cut off power to it from the panel box and advised occupant to contact a plumber.
• Firefighters responded to a smoke detector on Bozeman Circle. There were no hazards found and they advised the occupants to contact the housing authority.
• Firefighters responded to Ga. Highway 30 West to extinguish a small fire on the roadside.
• Firefighters responded to Railroad Street to an alarm. No hazards were found.
