Mrs. Margaret Welch Revell, age 94, passed away early Sunday morning, Sept. 9, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, from the graveside in Lebanon cemetery in Plains. The Rev. Raymond Smith and the Rev. Buck Kenny will officiate. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11 at Aldridge Funeral Services. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers.

Mrs. Margaret Welch Revell was born Sept. 8, 1924, in Marion County, daughter of the late George Washington Welch and the late Neta McCorkle Welch. She was a homemaker and member of Plains Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Janice Storey (Ray) of Preston; a son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Revell (Kerri) of Leslie; one brother Eugene Welch of Mansfield, Ga.; five grandchildren, Allen Storey (Becky) of Preston, Marelle Tison (Billy) Doles, Ga., Clint Storey of Preston, Amanda Byrd (Brian) of Atlanta, and Jake Revell (Haley) of Americus. Five great-grandchildren, Billy Tison, Wyatt Tison, Macey Tison, Nicholas Storey, and Alston Revell, also survive; and a special friend and caregiver, Gloria Hurley.

Mrs. Revell was preceded in death by her husband William W. Revell; a son William W. Revell Sr.; five sisters Quida O’Pry, Minnie Knox, Sarah Welch, Jewell Anthony; and Mae Wall; and three brothers, Henry Welch, George Welch, and Grady Welch.
