AMERICUS — The Sumter County Chamber of Commerce announces the September “Business of the Month,” a program is designed to spotlight a member business each month that does an exceptional job of serving its customers and the community.
John Stovall, division chair, said, “Businesses are a vital part of our community and we want to be able to recognize them for their contributions. This Chamber program helps highlight successful businesses serving our community with quality service and opportunities for our citizens to be employed.”
Tracy Law and Alex Saratsiotis, owners of Accelerated Physical Therapy, opened their business in 2003, because they saw a need for outpatient physical therapy in Sumter County. Both having grown up locally, they have been extremely pleased to serve the citizens of Sumter County and surrounding areas.
“Owning your own business is hard work, but extremely gratifying,” Law said. “We enjoy getting to know our patients and helping them have a healthier lifestyle and therapeutically serving their physical needs. Over the past 18 years in business, Alex and I have made so many lasting friendships, and have helped many patients have a better quality of life through physical therapy.”
Both Saratsiotis and Law believe in giving back to the community through community outreach. The Sumter County Chamber appreciates their dedicated community leadership and their work to build a stronger Americus and Sumter County for all.
The purpose of the Business Development Division is to establish a platform for innovative thinking and policy education to support entrepreneurial and business growth; and to provide increased exposure and opportunity through training, mentoring, and networking.
