In both law enforcement capacities, she served as a D.A.R.E. officer. Montena was affectionately known to many as the “DARE Lady” or “Mama Fish.”

In addition to her mother, she leaves to cherish her memories: two siblings, Mr. Willis J. (Pat) Hollis, Ms. Sherra Faye Kendrick; a stepsister, Mrs. Dorothy (Jesse) Perkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends also survive.
