AMERICUS – On Saturday, October 20, Magnolia Manor in Americus will host their 10th-annual 5K, Fun Run and Love Walk. The money raised will benefit The League of the Good Samaritan, the benevolent fund of Magnolia Manor. Despite their best efforts, the residents of Magnolia Manor run out of money. That’s when The League of the Good Samaritan steps in to help. The League helps Magnolia Manor fulfill its founders’ promise: “No one, having chosen to come to Magnolia Manor would ever have to leave if, by no fault of their own, they were unable to pay.”

Magnolia Manor is inviting people in Americus and surrounding areas to be “superheroes” for the residents of Magnolia Manor by participating in the 5K, Fun Run or Love Walk. People can also become sponsors. The proceedings will begin on Saturday morning, October 20, at 8 a.m. at Magnolia Manor of Americus. It is located at 2001 South Lee Street in Americus.

The registration fee for the 5K Race is $25. For the one-mile Fun Run, the registration fee is $10. It is free to participate in the Love Walk. There are sponsorship opportunities as well. Only sponsors registered before Wednesday, October 10, are guaranteed to have their name on the event t-shirt and sign(s).

To be a League Sponsor, it will cost $1,000. The person will get their name or logo on the banner at the event and on the event t-shirt. To be a Super Samaritan Sponsor will cost $500 and the person will get their name or logo on two signs at the event and on the event t-shirt.

It will cost $250 to be a Hero Sponsor. The Hero Sponsor will get his or her name on a sign at the event and on the event t-shirt. The cost to be a Love Walk Sponsor is $100. The Love Walk Sponsor will get his or her name on a sign at the event.
