On Sept. 29, the Americus-Sumter High Marching Band received several accolades at the ‘Phenix Invitational Marching Festival’ in Phenix City, Alabama. The Panthers band received straight superior ratings for all categories including: Drum Major, Dance Line, Guard, Pit and Battery Percussion, and Band. In addition to superior ratings, the ASHS band also received ‘Best in Class’ for performances in Dance Line, Pit Percussion, and Battery Percussion. The band brought home a total of nine trophies from the trip.
