AMERICUS — Alma Lee McDaniel Odum Truluck, age 94, of Americus, died at her residence Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018. A native of Marion County, she was born April 25, 1924, the daughter of the late P.O. and Lilly Golden McDaniel. Mrs. Truluck was of the Baptist faith and was a retired quality control manager at Manhattan Shirt Co. She enjoyed her flowers and loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-1942.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Joe Truluck of Americus; two sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Tina Odum of Americus, and Larry and Becky Odum of Cobb; a sister, Myrtice Davis of Columbus; four grandchildren, Sandy and Rock Barnes of Cobb, Nancy and Hugh Collins of Americus, Troy and Amy Odum of Jackson, and Mandy Fitzgerald of Americus; 10 great-grandchildren, and also several nieces and nephews including Cathy Register, Mike Register, and Robby Register.
