AMERICUS — Gladys O’Neal Greer of Americus died peacefully at home Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019. A native of Tifton, she was the daughter of the late William O’Neal and Ida Bell Owens O’Neal. She was affectionately known as “GiGi” to her family. Together, she and her husband Ronnie owned and operated Century 21 Americus Realty; she was also a member of the Americus Board of Realtors.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at First Presbyterian Church in Americus. The Rev. Greg Kirk and Pastor Somer Bower will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Greer of Americus; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Dianne White of Pell City, Ala.; and two stepsons and daughters-in-law: Matthew and Estelle Greer of Macon, and Nathan and Emily Greer of Macon. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Anna Marie White, Raena White, Lucy White, Avery Greer, Bryant Greer, Brady Greer, Maggie Greer, Ellis Greer, Ross Greer, and Bowen Greer.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the following: Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes, Attention: Development Division, P.O. Box 1000, Stockbridge GA 30281; Magnolia Manor, 2001 S. Lee St., Americus GA 31709; First Presbyterian Church, 125 S. Jackson St., Americus GA 31709; Phoebe Sumter Hospice, P.O. Box 1434, Americus GA 31709; or to the charity of one’s choice.
